Putting accessibility in the Definition of Done or the MVP (minimum viable product) makes it harder for it to end up on the cutting room floor when budgets are cut and products are pushed out before they are ready.
It’s how you hold product owners accountable for accessibility to be in the final product. It also points a finger at who made the decision to leave it out if at a later date that decision ends up costing millions in litigation.
